The Rangers ran into a goaltending wall named Semyon Varlamov on Saturday night at The Garden and fell to Colorado 3-1 in a game that ended with an empty-net goal. After the game, Rangers head coach John Tortorella told reporters he had no complaints about the way his team played in outshooting the Avs 42-20. Tortorella said that even though they didn't get the desired result, the Rangers were playing the way they needed to play at this point in the season and were it not for the goaltending performance, they were in good position to beat Colorado.
