Soon after the Rangers knotted the score, 2-2, in the third period on a goal by Rick Nash Friday night in Carolina, they went to work on a 5-on-3 power play following the 'Canes taking back-to-back delay of game penalties.

Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis played catch before St. Louis sent a gorgeous pass through the slot that found Derek Stepan on the side of the net, and Stepan went top-shelf for the goal to give the Rangers the 3-2 lead with just a few minutes remaining in what turned out to be a 4-2 victory.

The assist was St. Louis' first point as a Ranger.
