Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault said he was pleased with the way the Rangers played at even strength Friday night in their 5-3 loss against the Islanders. It was special teams that need work, namely the power play, which despite scoring two goals, allowed two shorthanded goals as well.

On Sunday, Vigneault spoke with reporters before taking on Minnesota, and discussed those issues, as well as why he's starting Cam Talbot, how the penalty shot goal changed the momentum Friday and more.
