After their Game 5 loss to the Bruins, which eliminated them from the playoffs, forwards Carl Hagelin and Brian Boyle met with the media to mostly discuss the team’s disappoint in the end of the season, which the players said they were not ready for.
Hagelin said he didn’t believe the team was tired from their opening round series and that the Rangers were not aggressive enough on Boston’s defensemen. Boyle, meanwhile, said the Bruins deserved to win the series, and that it was a “privilege” to be part of a team that didn’t give up despite being down by three games, while discussing the ups and downs of the series
