The Rangers improved to 3-0 in elimination games this postseason after their 4-3 overtime win in Game 4 kept them alive in their series against the Boston Bruins.
On Friday, the team held practice prior to flying up to Massachusetts for Game 5 Saturday evening at TD Bank Garden.
After practice, head coach John Tortorella met with the media to discuss the team’s fourth line, Chris Kreider’s play and goal, their success in elimination games, Carl Hagelin’s goal that gave the team and the fans life, his decision to swap Derick Brassard and Derek Stepan on their respective lines, the play of Steve Eminger and Roman Hamrlik, Stepan’s goal and how good he’s felt Ryan McDonagh has been and could be in the future.
