The Rangers did something they had never done before: win a Game 7 on the road. Not only did they accomplish that, but they did it in dominating fashion, by shutting out the Washington Capitals, 5-0, to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and a meeting with the Boston Bruins.

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan met with MSG Network’s John Giannone after the team’s big Game Seven win and discussed the team’s strong start, the importance of Arron Asham’s goal, his own goal in the third period, the team’s desire to not take their foot off the gas despite a big lead, blocking shots and more.
