There was only one goal scoreed in the Rangers Game Six victory over the Capitals, and it came off the stick of Derick Brassard, the Blueshirts top point producer in the playoffs. Brassard now has two goals, five assists, and seven points through six games after his slap shot glanced off defenseman Steve Oleky and past Braden Holtby 9:39 into the second period for a 1-0 Rangers victory.
Brassard said after the game that he heard the fans screaming for the Blueshirts to shoot the puck, so he felt he could not pass up a shot! So he fired it on net and scoreed the game's lone goal.
