While they may not grab headlines like top scoring lines do, the best teams in the NHL have strong fourth liners who get their hands dirty doing the grind work in the messy areas of the ice. The Rangers posses that in Arron Asham, Darroll Powe and Kris Newbury.

On Friday following the team’s practice at the Verizon Center in Washington a day before Game 2 against the Capitals, Asham sat down with BlueshirtsUnited.com’s Jim Cerny to discuss the role of his line, which he said is to create energy and play physically, as well as his second period penalty, momentum swings in playoff series and what the team must do a better job at on Saturday.
