Prior to Saturday's regular season finale, the Rangers spoke of wanting to end the 48-game campaign on a high-note before the postseason begins next week. They did just that by beating the Devils 4-0 at Madison Square Garden.

The Blueshirts opened the scoring in the first period with goals by Derek Stepan and Ryan Callahan. Rick Nash scored in the second period and again in the third on what arguably could be remembered as the nicest play of the season. Henrik Lundqvist finished with 20 saves for his second shutout of the season.
