The Rangers were unable to gain ground on the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday night after losing, 4-3, at the Air Canada Centre. After falling behind 2-0 midway through the second period, Rick Nash scored to cut the deficit in half. He later scored again to bring the Rangers back to within a goal at 3-2 in the third period. Derek Stepan notched 14th goal of the season to tie the game, but the Rangers gave up the game-winner just seconds later.
