Ryan Callahan and Martin Biron played vital roles in Thursday's contest at Madison Square Garden, one that the Rangers ultimately lost in the shootout, 4-3.

Callahan played a robust 23:40, assisted on Marian Gaborik's first-period goal, was credited with six hits, and even won a pair of faceoffs; while Biron made his second start of the season in goal and stopped 28 of 31 shots through 65 minutes of play.
