Rangers head coach John Tortorella spent Thursday volunteering his time along with team staff members and five Blueshirts alumni---Adam Graves, Rod Gilbert, Dave Maloney, Ron Greschner, and Gilles Villemure---to help provide some relief in a pair of areas decimated by the recent Hurricane Sandy. The Rangers family spent the early part of their day preparing the day's meal and then serving it to needy residents in Coney Island before moving to the Rockaway section of Queens and helping Red Cross workers in that area.
During an emotional stop in the devastated section of Breezy Point in the Rockaways, Tortorella chatted one-on-one with BlueshirtsUnited.com's Jim Cerny about the day's events.
