Whale forward Brandon Segal has appeared in 102 NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Los Angeles Kings, and Dallas Stars, including ten as Matt Gilroy's teammate in Tampa last season. And Segal is aiming for a return to the NHL with the Rangers as soon as possible.

The 6-foot-2, 215 pound Segal made a solid impression this past weekend when he scored twice and helped the Whale salvage a point in a 5-4 overtime loss in Norfolk on Friday---a city he played in a year ago when he helped the Admirals win the Calder Cup.

Following practice on Monday Segal chatted with Jim Cerny from BlueshirtsUnited.com about his triumphant return to Norfolk, why he decided to sign with the Rangers as a free agent this past summer, what his future plans are, and the prospects of his impending fatherhood.
