The Connecticut Whale travel down to Virginia for a pair of games this weekend, Friday and Saturday, against the Norfolk Admirals. The Whale are seeking its first win of the 2012-13 AHL season, having dropped a pair of home games last weekend.

One player who is off to a strong start for the Whale, though, is center Kreis Newbury, who has scored three goals in the first two games.

Newbury sat down with BlueshirtsUnited.com's Jim Cerny to discuss his fast start, if he has had similar starts in past years, why the Whale power play has been so good, what it's like playing with Rangers first rounders Chris Kreider and JT Miller, and much more.

See what Newbury had to say, then share your comments below.
