Last year Ryan McDonagh was a rookie with 40 games of NHL experience taking part in his first Stanley Cup playoffs, working on the Rangers' second defense pairing. This year McDonagh is a top-pair d-man, logging more than 26 minutes per night during the post-season, playing against all of Ottawa's top guns.
