Skapski Makes It Nine in a Row: Prospect Pool

Nine in a Row for Skapski
Rangers 2013 sixth-round pick Mackenzie Skapski has been flourishing in net with the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League. This week, Skapski went undefeated in three starts, with two wins over Lethbridge and another over Saskatoon. The 19-year-old hasn’t dropped a decision since Jan. 8, a span of nine consecutive wins. Skapski is 20-13-2-1 with a 2.73 goals against average, .917 save percentage and one shutout. His 20 wins are tied for seventh-best in the WHL.
No Stumble for Duclair
Rangers 2013 third-round pick Anthony Duclair had another outstanding week for Quebec in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old registered four goals and three assists in four games for the Remparts, including a two-goal, three-point performance Sunday against Sherbrooke. Duclair has 49 goals and 43 assists for 92 points in just 53 games this season. His 49 goals is tops in the QMJHL, while his 92 points is second.
Tambellini Stays Hot in Calgary
Another Rangers 2013 third-round pick making headlines is Adam Tambellini, who has shined since making the move from the NCAA to Calgary of the WHL. This week, the forward posted four goals and two assists in just four games. In 15 games with the Hitmen, the 19-year-old has eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points.
The Hartford Wolf Pack went 2-1 in the week leading up to the All Star break. Forward Oscar Lindberg led the way with a goal in two assists in the two games. The 22-year-old has 13 goals and 31 points in 47 games for Hartford.
J.T. Miller and Jesper Fast each had two assists over that span, while Danny Kristo notched his team-leading 17th goal of the season and added an assist.
Solid Week in Greenville
Rangers prospect Michael St. Croix continues to have success in Greenville of the ECHL. In three games this week, the left winger posted a goal and two assists. The 2011 fourth-rounder has eight goals and 24 assists in 32 games with the Road Warriors.
Prospects Josh Nicholls and Kyle Jean also had strong weeks, with Nicholls posting a goal and an assist while Jean had two assists. Goaltender Jeff Malcolm picked up two wins, improving his record to 8-5-0-2 with Greenville.
