Duclair Moves Into Second Among QMJHL Scorers
Rangers 2013 third-round pick Anthony Duclair was his usual self this past week, notching three goals and three assists in just four games for the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old left-winger is second in the QMJHL in goals with 36 and second with 66 points. He trails just Detroit 2013 first-round pick Anthony Mantha in both categories.
Strong Individual Results for Wolf Pack
Despite losing three straight, the Hartford Wolf Pack’s top players have been putting up points, led by Ryan Bourque and Danny Kristo, both of whom had three points in three games. Bourque picked up two goals and an assist, while Kristo registered a goal and two assists of his own. Kristo currently leads the team with 13 goals and 25 points in 34 games.
J.T. Miller returned to Hartford this week and made his impact felt quickly, scoring a goal in the team’s 6-3 loss to Bridgeport. The forward has eight goals and two assists in 10 games this season for Hartford.
Finding Success in the E
Forwards Michael St. Croix and Josh Nicholls each had strong weeks for the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL. St. Croix registered a goal and two assists in three games, giving the 2011 fourth-round draft pick seven goals and 16 assists through 24 games with Greenville. Nicholls, meanwhile, finished his week with a goal and three assists in three games. He has five goals and eight assists in 27 games in the ECHL this season.
Back to School
In his first game back at school following his appearance in the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships, Rangers 2012 first-round pick Brady Skjei scored in Minnesota’s 3-2 win over Penn State. The defenseman has three goals and three assists, and is a plus-11 through 18 games this season with Minnesota of the WCHA.
